Sorry it's been so long. I've had some major health issues and I am still working on them. I was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus. On top of that I have broken my leg, tore ligaments in my knee, had chicken pox and as of last night fallen and broken a rib. Plus we had 2 adoptions fall through last minute and that put me in such a deep depression that I didn't do anything. With the lupus it's going to be a life long battle I'm afraid. The doctors cannot seem to get me into remission yet and am going to have to have chemo.
I've had to really pare down my gardening. Not doing the 1/2 acre anymore, lol. I just have a few tomato plants and my herbs. I did just meet the old (and I do mean old, lol) ag teacher here in town. He only lives a few houses down from me. Well anyway I was at a friends house and he was out in his garden behind her house. He waved at me to come over thinking I was his new neighbor, since my friends just moved in. We we got to talking about his huge garden. I told him about us not having any place to garden and he said that we could have a few rows and as much veggies in his garden as we want. He asked me why I want so many veggies and I told him that I can and dehydrate them for the winter months. He said, "I think you and me are going to get along just fine", lol. He told me that "kids" my age don't do that much anymore. I liked the kids part since I'm 37, lol.
I know that I can't do as much physically since all the meds with the lupus but I have a bunch of neighborhood kids that want to learn and offered to help. That excites me that they want to do that. Even if only a couple show up, that's 2 more than I have now,, lol.
