by the end of the month, I will have logged 164 miles walking/hiking. NOT counting working, errands, etc. Here are some pics from my latest...last tues. a friend and I went...14 miles round trip and it was worth every step!
Most of the trail was either this...or rock

A fairly good stretch here...

First waterfall we passed...5 large creek crossings on this trail. It would be awful after a heavy rain....

My new friend..

Grotto Falls...you can walk behind this waterfall...it was so pretty

Behind it...

I told ya there were rocks, lol

Love, love, love this pic...

To get to the top of Brushy Mtn, you have to follow a streambed for about half a mile...this is the start.

It got very tight in places. My only concern was a snake lying on the bank or a bear in the laurels...no where to go!!

But the view was worth it. Aren't called the Great SMOKY Mountains for nothing...definately a hazey day.

We are heading back for another Sunday if no storms.. 17.5 miles...I'll take the camera!
